OCTOBER WEEK 3 PRACTICES

Practice 1 (theme: streamline)

drill practice: sweet spot, progress to "LA (long axis) Combo" (sweet spot, head down, three strokes 1-arm, roll to head up, head down, repeat). 8 x 25m with coach feedback.
main: 3 or 4 x fs (100 mod, 2x50 build, 4 x 25 alt mod/hard), 60 sec rest after each set, pace times range from 2:00/2:15/2:30 etc. *1 min. rest after each set
wd: 2 or 3 x (50 ki, 50 sw)

Practice 2 (theme: catch)

: 200 fs, 200 dr (100 fs/100 br), 200 ch ki, 200 ch swim

drill practice: "reverse catch up", start with sweet spot-head down, arms at side. Do one arm pull, sneak breath, head back down. Both arms should be at side. "Knife" through water on your side. Repeat with other arm, roll to side. 4-6 x 25m with coach feedback.
main: 1 or 1.5 x [ch (250 mod even pace, 200 neg split, 150 middle 50 hard, 2 x 100 alt dps (distance per stroke)/hard)], pace times on 4:00/4:15/4:30 etc.

OCTOBER WEEK 2 (start of season) PRACTICES
